Transfer of ownership
 
  Theysohn Extrusionstechnik and Topf Kunststofftechnik have been managed as financially independent entities within the VGT Industrie AG group (34119 Kassel, Germany/Europe) with excellent business results. Financial problems of the VGT group therefore had never effected these companies directly.

Above all, the former company founders Mr. Rudolf Zahradnik and Mr. Siegfried Topf were really interested in preserving the Austrian locations. For this reason the management of both companies had decided to take over Theysohn Extrusionstechnik and Topf Kunststofftechnik from Theysohn Maschinenbau (Germany, in liquidation) and to found a new group of companies for extrusion solutions. The purchase procedure will be finalized by the end of July 2003.

Theysohn Extrusionstechnik is one of the world's leading manufacturers of
  • counter-rotating conical and parallel twin-screw extruders - the product range includes complete series of conical (CON, up to 270 kg/h) and parallel (TTS, up to 920 kg/h; TTM, up to 1500 kg/h) extrusion machines to meet all types of customer requirements corresponding to the process engineering situations
  • extrusion solutions (incl. extrusion tools) for extrusion of profiles for windows, doors, sidings and gutters
  • complete equipment for the production of pipes, profiles and special profiles
  • extrusion heads and tools for solid PVC pipe as well as foam-core pipe systems ø 16 - 710mm
  • extruders, machinery equipment and tools for special applications in extrusion, e.g. processing of wood-plastic formulations based on PVC,PP or PE
With the partner company Topf Kunststofftechnik, Theysohn Extrusionstechnik is the supplier of turn-key solutions for complete PVC pipe, technical profiles as well as profiles for window and door systems. Based on the long experience and existing know-how, Theysohn is able to design window systems tailor-made to existing climate and constructual conditions in the different countries which subsequently gives the customer an added value. This integrated product know-how of Theysohn and Topf allows to offer special applications to the customers, e.g. the production of co-extruded siding or - based on the practical experience in the Asian market - the supply of equipment for wood-fibre extrusion.

In 2002, Theysohn could conclude very successfully projects in the Chinese market and therefore improve the leading position as turn-key supplier for the window manufacturers. In total up to now a PVC-production capacity of 632.000 jato (tons/year) has been delivered to China. Basis for the success is the very close co-operation between the customers with their particular requirements and Theysohn/Topf as the supplier of production facilities and know-how.

The last 5 business years have shown a very positive development with a yearly turnover raise of approx. 8 %. With orders in process for more than 150 conical and parallel extruders for 2003, Theysohn expects a drastic increase of turnover by 20 % for this year. The owners of the new group of companies therefore proceed on a total turnover of 78 Mio. Euro for the business year 2003. Contrary to the overall market situation, Theysohn will develop further extremely positive.
