Theysohn Group hosted BIPEA meeting

  The new Theysohn Group (Theysohn Extrusionstechnik GmbH, Korneuburg/Austria, Topf Kunststofftechnik GmbH, Kirchdorf/Austria, Theysohn Extruder Komponenten Salzgitter GmbH, Salzgitter/Germany) hosted from October, 16th - 17th the meeting for the members of BIPEA. Organized by Richard Johnson, Syprotech (official agency of Theysohn for Great Britain and Ireland) and BIPEA, 30 participants found their way to Shrigley Hall Hotel, Macclesfield/Cheshire. After a pleasant welcome with cocktails Mr. Sven Wolf started with the introduction of the new Theysohn Group. Theysohn Extrusionstechnik, Topf Kunststofftechnik and Theysohn Extruder Komponenten will be managed by Theysohn Holding, Vienna/Austria. Due to the synergies, the Theysohn-Holding presents a unique merger of high precision engineering companies, who are world-wide famous for their exceptional quality. He explained the sales organization of Theysohn for Europe and especially mentioned Mr. Johnson, Syprotech, who is our agent in Great Britain and Ireland. Mr. Wolf summarized the worldwide trends for plastic extrusion and introduced Mr. Peter Cervenka, the general sales manager of Theysohn Extrusionstechnik. Mr. Cervenka spoke about the product range of the Theysohn Group. He mentioned that from now on the new company is able to develop, design and produce complete extrusion lines under usage of their own patents. The new product range consists of:
  • complete automatic processing and conveying plants for PVC
  • complete series of extruders for profiles, pipes, siding and sheets
  • own extrusion downstream for window and building profiles and siding
  • complete series of pipe heads for compact pipe and 3-layer foam core pipes
  • profile tools by own tooling plant Topf Kunststofftechnik
  • plasticizing units (Screws and Barrels) manufactured by our own production plant in Salzgitter, Germany, also as replacement to non-Theysohn Extruders
The participants discussed very lively after the presentation extrusion solutions for the British market with Mr. Wolf, Mr. Cervenka and Mr. Johnson.

The evening ended with an excellent dinner at Shrigley Hall Hotel.

On Friday a gulf tournament took place at the golf course of the Hotel, which was also arranged by Mr. Johnson and which met with approval. The winner was Mr. David O'Sullivan from Plastic Extruders who got a trophy and a bottle of French champaign. The runner up was Keith Scutter of MT2000 and the nearest the Pin was won by Bev Graham also from Plastic Extruders.

As conclusion it has to be remarked that the whole meeting was very successful and the atmosphere was totally relaxed and pleasant.
